Gunther Geltinger

Gunther Geltinger was born in Erlenbach am Main in 1974 and he now lives in Cologne. He studied screenplay writing and dramaturgy at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna and continued his studies at Cologne’s Academy of Media Arts. His 2008 debut novel, MENSCH ENGEL (‘Human Angel’), was critically acclaimed, nominated for the Aspekte Prize (the major prize for a first novel), and has been translated into several languages. His second novel, MOOR, was published in 2013. Gunther Geltinger has been the recipient of a number of illustrious literary grants including the 2013 North Rhine-Westphalia Award.
