Inge Kloepfer

Inge Kloepfer was born in Munich in 1964 and grew up in the Ruhr region. She studied Sinology and Japanology, and followed this with a degree in economics in 1991. She became an economics correspondent with the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung in 1992 and then with the Frankfurter Allgemeine’s Sunday newspaper (F.A.S.) from 2001 to 2008. She has been a freelance writer and journalist since then (still doing some writing for the F.A.S.), and she also gives lectures and works as a presenter. She was awarded the Economics Journalist of Year Prize in 2005 for her bestselling biography of Friede Springer. She lives in Berlin with her husband and three children.
