Lisa-Marie Dickreiter
Lisa-Marie Dickreiter was born in 1978 in the Bavarian town of Furth im Wald. She graduated from the Film Academy of Baden-Württemberg in Ludwigsburg, with a diploma in screenplay writing. Her first novel, VOM ATMEN UNTER WASSER (‘On Breathing Underwater’), was published by Bloomsbury Berlin in 2010, had several printings, and was made into a film (a SWR – Südwestrundfunk – and arte co-production). Her children’s book series Max und die Wilde Sieben (‘Max and the Wild Seven’) was launched in 2014 by Oetinger (together with Winfried Oelsner). She has received a plethora of grants and awards and was named by the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung as one of the twenty best German-language authors under the age of forty. She lives in Berlin and in the Black Forest.
