Luo Lingyuan

Luo Lingyuan was born in the People’s Republic of China in 1963 and has been living in Berlin since 1990. She studied Computer Science and Journalism and has worked as a journalist, interpreter, and translator. Since 1992 she has devoted herself to her work as author writing almost exclusively in the German language. The recipient of a number of highly regarded scholarships, she won the Chamisso Promotional Prize in 2007 for her first short story collection in German,  DU FLIEGST JETZT FÜR MEINEN SOHN AUS DEM FÜNFTEN STOCK!
