Stefan Moster

Stefan Moster was born in Mainz in 1964. He read comparative literature and Finno-Ugric and Scandinavian studies at Munich and Helsinki. Since completing his master’s degree, the main thrust of his work has been as a translator and promoter of Finnish literature, but he has also been active as an editor, literary critic, and assistant lecturer. A successful novelist, he is the recipient of some highly regarded scholarships, such as the 2007 Authors’ Workshop for Prose at the Literary Colloquium in Berlin. He lives in Helsinki.
