Winfried Oelsner
Winfried Oelsner was born in Marl, in North-Rhine Westphalia, in 1972. A student of film and television studies, history and politics in Bochum and Cologne, he later studied feature film and documentary film directing at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy in Ludwigsburg gaining his diploma in 2004. He has subsequently made a number of prize-winning films. His children’s book series MAX UND DIE WILDE SIEBEN (‘Max and the Wild Seven’), in collaboration with Lisa-Marie Dickreiter, was launched in 2014 by Oetinger He lives in Berlin.
